Greg called the business meeting to order at 10:10 am.

The minutes from the October meeting were posted on the web site. Kay moved that the minutes from September  and October be accepted. Sandy seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.

Kay gave the treasurer's report. The expenditure for the past month was $50 for use of the church.

Kyle Pierson reported that we had signed up for Constant Contact. It will be used to keep members lists up to date and to make lists of people who attend sales and shows that can be used in the future to remind them of our upcoming events. Kyle will put a link on our website. Another internet aid well will be using a Wiki page on PB Works. It will be used for making lists. We will use it for the list of dishes members plan to bring to the Christmas pot luck dinner. Kyle will send out an email telling how to use this page. (This has been postponed.)

Kay reported that she has ordered 21 Eureka Daylily Referenced Guide Books for BADS and the Central Florida Daylily Club. Cost will be $36.96 each. She needs to increase the order by 2. If anyone would like to order the 2011 Eureka Reference Guide, contact Kay before November 24, 2010. The 2011 Eureka Guides  will not have arrived by December 4.  Kay needs the Doggetts take the 2011 Eureka Guides  to the Central Florida Daylily Club.

Ellen reminded us that at an earlier meeting she had suggested we bring the sale items to Greenfest. Kay told Gayle that should be on our Greenfest application form.

Gayle asked for an idea for an idea on how much we will be spending on plants we buy from Dan Hansen for Greenfest. Greg suggested we table the discussion until the December meeting. Gayle will  tell Dan we will be spending significantly more on plants in 2011 than in 2010. Marcia and Greg volunteered pots for any plants that needed to held over after Greenfest.

Dennis said he had the wood to build the display racks for the photo contest at the May Show and Sale. Gayle and Greg volunteered to help Dennis .

Linda Sample sent a plant for a door prize.  Kay won  the Daylily "Art Song."

Gloria Hite sent word that she could get a club house at her condominium on December 4, 2010 for our Christmas Party.  However, after a discussion, we found that several of the attending members have conflicts with  that date.   Marsha and George Pignotta offered their place for the Christmas Party on December 11, 2010.

BADS Christmas Potluck and Gift Exchange

December 11, 2010

11 am

Marcia and George Pagnotta's Home

8955 125th Street, Seminole, Florida

Greg made the motion to accept the Pagnotta's invitation for December 11, 2010. Kyle seconded the motion and it passed.   Anyone who has folding chairs, please bring them. Go to our Wiki page and sign up for what you want to bring to our Potluck.

Greg offered to give a tutorial on how to buy Daylilies on the Lily Auction to all that were interested at the conclusion of the program. Several members attended the tutorial and found it very informative.

The meeting was adjourned for a program on Micro/Drip Irrigation as given by Angie Knowles, Master Garden. You can get the individual parts for a micro irrigation system at Home Depot, Lowes and some Walmart Stores. The parts of the systems are interchangeable and can be found in the plumbing departments of each store.
